HOW WE STARTED

WHO WE ARE

 

宀, this character is pronounced as”Baoget” 。宀 is a core philosophical symbol born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Founded in 2020 by Sien Wang, it takes the character “宀”—which has existed since the Oracle Bone Script period—as its super symbol. It serves both as a metaphor for “home,” representing shelter and belonging, and as a symbol of a “crown,” signifying coronation and elevation.

With the design logic of placing a precious roof atop the head , the brand transforms ancient Chinese architectural elements such as dougong (brackets), zaojing (caisson ceilings), and sunmao (mortise and tenon joints) into the design language of headwear. Inspired by the Three Non-Leakage Studies of Buddhism, the brand has created three jewelry collections: “Śīla (Precepts),” “Samādhi (Meditative Concentration),” and “Prajñā (Wisdom).”

The Discovery of Oracle Bone Script

Oracle Bone Script from the Shang Dynasty (3,600 years ago) was discovered in Xiaotun Village, Anyang City, Henan Province, becoming the cornerstone for exploring early Chinese civilization and the origins of Chinese cultural DNA. Among these characters was “宀”.

2020

The Founding of  宀

The 121st anniversary of the discovery and study of Oracle Bone Script, founder Sien Wang visited the China National Museum of Chinese Writing in Anyang, Henan. On this land imbued with Shang Dynasty civilization, he discovered the profound cultural symbol he had long sought—”宀.”

2022  July 

The First Store

宀 unveiled its first brand space—the Lingyin Store—housed within a century-old standalone compound nestled along Tianzhu Road near Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou.

The brand revitalized this historic courtyard structure, preserving its original architectural texture and timeless charm while reinventing it with a new brand narrative.

2023  September 

The First Tmall Store

On September 8, 2023, 宀 officially launched on Tmall, marking the grand opening of its official flagship store on the platform.

Partnered with Piacenza 1733

In September 2023,  宀  partnered with Piacenza 1733—one of Italy’s oldest cashmere brands—to source premium cashmere fabrics.

2023 October

The first tiled eave cap

On October 8, 2023,  宀  launched its first “Tiled Eave Cap,” inspired by the traditional tiles of ancient Chinese architecture.

This design has since evolved into a classic original hat silhouette within the brand’s refined collection.

2024 September

Partnered with Fratelli Tallia di Delfino

In September 2024,  宀  entered into a partnership with Fratelli Tallia di Delfino, an Italian fabric brand established in 1903.

 

Partnered with HUDDERSFIELD FINE WORSTEDS.

That same month,  宀  also collaborated with the renowned British textile manufacturer HUDDERSFIELD FINE WORSTEDS.

2024 October

Shanghai Fashion Week MODE Exhibition

In October 2024,  宀  made its appearance at the 2025 Spring/Summer Shanghai Fashion Week MODE Exhibition, presenting to the public its “宀冖 · Head over Heels” collection, the “安宁An Ning” hat series, and launching its first vest product line.

宀冖 · Head over Heels
Inspired by the intricate deconstruction of Chinese sunmao (mortise-tenon) architecture, the design features two intersecting lines adorning the crown. This symbolizes that love is not dependence, but rather a mechanical interlocking of two souls.

安宁 · An Ning 
A house takes the shape of a “home,” yet the warmth of “home” can be deconstructed into a wearable, disassemblable cultural gene bank. 

2024 December

Partnered with Loro Piana

In December 2024,  宀  entered into a partnership with Loro Piana, Italy’s national treasure-level fabric brand, becoming the exclusive hat brand in mainland China directly supplied by their luxury materials.

宀  selectively uses Solbiati’s linen fabrics for its hats, preserving the natural texture and luster of linen while employing innovative techniques to enhance its fineness and softness. Under sunlight, the material radiates a silk-like warmth and subtle brilliance.

2025 March

CHINA FASHION WEEK

On March 23, 2025,  宀’s Autumn/Winter collection debuted at China Fashion Week, receiving extensive global coverage.

This marked the first time in China Fashion Week history that a hat brand held an independent runway show within the official schedule.

 

SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK

On March 25, 2025, Baoget participated in the 2025 Autumn/Winter Shanghai Fashion Week MODE Exhibition. Zhang Yan, Secretary of the Shangcheng District Committee of Hangzhou, visited 宀’s booth for communication and guidance. A sensation was sparked when Unitree Robotics’ robots wore 宀’s hats and vests, creating a groundbreaking fusion of technology and fashion.

2025 June

Pitti Uomo 108

On June 17-20, 2025, 宀 participated in the 108th Pitti Uomo as part of the “CHINA WAVE” delegation organized by the China National Garment Association, launching two jewelry collections: “Śīla (Precepts)” and “Samādhi (Meditative Concentration)”.

On June 27, 2025, the brand introduced its third series, “Prajñā (Wisdom)”, completing the trilogy inspired by the Three Non-Leakage Studies.

HaiNing Fashion Week

On July 14-16, 2025,宀  showcased its Head Over Heels and An Ning series tiled eave cap at the 2025 HaiNing Fashion Week.

2025 August

Featured in BAZAAR JEWELRY

In August 2025,The brand’s pure cotton tiled eave cap was featured in the August issue of BAZAAR JEWELRY.

Partnership with Fernando Family

宀 is the first Chinese brand to partner with Peru’s second-largest VICUÑA family, utilizing handwoven fabric made from the precious VICUÑA, renowned as the “fabric gold.”

MODE PLUS · TOKYO 2025

 

On September 8-9, 2025,
宀  participated in MODE PLUS · TOKYO 2025 (MODE PLUS・TOKYO by Shanghai Fashion Week), launching its inaugural Jewelry Square Label for the first time.

The An Ning Series hats offer haute couture customization: clients may choose to retain the classic enamel label or upgrade to the new Jewelry Square Label. Each label is crafted in solid gold with two luxury craftsmanship options:

  • Delicate enamel painting for nuanced coloration

  • Hand-set natural colored gemstones and diamonds for bespoke brilliance

Shanghai Fashion Week 2026SS MODE 

On October 9-13, 2025,宀  participated in 2026SS MODE by Shanghai Fashion Week). The exhibition is themed “An Auspicious Shelter over Us”.

宀  was honored with the “Official Recommendation for Commercial Potential Brand” at Shanghai Fashion Week SS2026.
